ELECTRA CLASSIC PRICE: £3795 otr COLOURS: BLACK
Royal Enfield have developed a 1950’s-styled version of the new Bullet Electra-X, which pays homage to the decade during which the classic Bullet first saw the light of day. While the Bullet Electra-X is very much a traditional British motorcycle, its appearance is typical of the Sixties. British customers like this new machine’s performance and reliability, but some wanted something with a Fifties look, so Watsonian Squire came up with the Classic. |

After 55 years the Royal Enfield Bullet has a new engine, designed and developed in conjunction with the internationally respected Austrian power-train systems company, AVL. It had to retain the traditional appearance, simplicity, and sound of the British ‘single’ but with greater inherent reliability and performance coupled with better fuel consumption and the ability to meet anticipated emissions legislation around the Globe. The brand new 500cc lean-burn engine was developed in Austria, while Dr. Stuart McGuigan of Cranfield University, in the UK, designed the 5-speed gearbox and the tyres are British-made by Avon. In 350cc form this engine has been in production in India since 1999; the 500cc version has been developed during this time and has been successfully tested in the UK. |

ELECTRA CLASSIC DL PRICE: £3895 otr COLOURS: BLACK
This Deluxe version, with chrome-sided tank and matching chrome mudguards front and rear, is available to order as is a solo seat version. For those seeking something that harks back to the original Bullet of 1949, there is a Solo Saddle model. This adds a leatherette solo sprung saddle and luggage rack to the chrome tank and guards, taking the Bullet Electra into another decade altogether. Like the donor model Electra, introduced into the UK in 2004, the Classic benefits from the new lean-burn all-aluminium 499cc OHV single cylinder engine, producing significantly more power than the original 50 year-old British-designed unit and delivering over 80 mpg. It shares all of the other modern features that make the Electra-X so easy to live with, (and accessible to younger and novice riders), including electric start, 5-speed gearbox, 280mm single calliper front disc brake and gas filled rear dampers. |

ELECTRA XS PRICE: £4550 otr COLOURS: BLACK, BLUE, RED, SILVER OR GREEN
Royal Enfield have introduced a roadster version of its popular Bullet Electra 500 with revised looks and performance. The Bullet Electra XS has been developed by Royal Enfield’s UK distributor, Watsonian Squire, in response to requests from customers and dealers for a machine more in the style of the Company’s sports models of the 1960’s, such as the Continental GT and Interceptor, than the 1950’s Bullet. The most obvious changes are to the front end, where chrome speedometer, rev counter and headlight unit replace the nacelle unit that has served the Bullet for over 50 years. Flat handlebars complete the look and help to create a more sporting riding position. The Electra XS is powered by Royal Enfield’s new alloy lean burn 500cc single cylinder OHV engine, which is capable of delivering over 80 mpg (and there are several independent reports of 100mpg plus) giving this motorcycle an impressive tank range of 250 miles. It is also fitted with an upswept sport silencer that gives a crisp authentic big single exhaust ‘bark’ and has the added benefit of boosting power output by 10% compared to the standard model. Stopping power is provided by a competent 280mm single calliper front disc brake, while Avon Super Venom and Roadrunner tyres work with gas filled rear dampers to give a reassuringly firm and responsive ride. The Bullet Electra XS is produced in gloss black with chrome mudguards. |

ELECTRA CLUBMAN w/HIGHWAY KIT PRICE: £4995 otr COLOURS: BLACK w/ALLOY TANK
The Electra Clubman is the latest in a long line of café racer styled machines from Royal Enfield’s UK distributor Watsonian Squire. This authentic-looking machine has been developed in their factory in the Heart of England to combine the look and sound of the classic cafe racers of the Sixties with the reliability and performance of a modern lean burn engine and, of course, the heritage of the Royal Enfield badge. At the heart of the Clubman is the proven all-aluminium 500cc single cylinder Electra engine that has amazed the press and owners alike with its incredible fuel economy (over 85 mpg is not unusual). The frame, gas filled rear shock absorbers and Avon Super Venom tyres also come from the standard road bike, as does the efficient 280mm single front disc brake. However the Clubman looks as radically different from the road version as the original rockers’ machines because it boasts all of the ‘race specification’ parts of that era, the most striking of which is the 4.5-gallon polished aluminium tank, sandwiched between ‘ace’ bars and hand made fibreglass single seat unit. Rear-set footrests work with the low bars to push the riding position forward into a sportier attitude without sacrificing comfort or cramping the stance. The upswept ‘Gold Star’ style silencer not only reinforces the classic racer image, it also allows the lean burn engine, (designed to help Royal Enfield meet stringent modern emissions controls), breathe more freely. Watsonian have also added discreet mini indicators, chrome mudguards and a more compact tail light assembly. |

ELECTRA ‘T’ PRICE: £4150 otr COLOURS: SILVER
Royal Enfield’s UK distributor has created a ‘trials’ styled version of the new lean burn Bullet Electra. The Electra 500-T is powered by the Company’s all-aluminium 499cc OHV single cylinder engine, which replaces the original 50 year-old British-designed unit, so that the Bullet meets current stringent emissions controls in Europe and the USA. Royal Enfield had an outstanding record of success in the ISDT [International Six Days’ Trial], acknowledged as the longest and most strenuous of all motorcycle competitions, during the glory years for British riders between 1948-1953. The Bullet Electra 500-T has been designed to capture the sprit of the ‘unstoppable Bullet’ in a package that will be comfortable to ride on today’s roads. The Bullet Electra 500-T shares the frame and running gear with the Electra-X road bike as well as electric start, 5-speed gearbox, 280mm single calliper front disc brake and gas filled rear dampers. Changes from the standard bike include alloy mudguards, scrambles handlebars, solo sprung saddle, revised rear sub-frame and tail light assembly, alloy bash-plate, smaller indicators and upswept sports silencer. Continental TKC 80 Rally tyres complete the picture, offering high levels of grip when used on or off-road plus long service life. With a top speed of 78mph and fuel consumption of 87.5 mpg, the Bullet Electra 500-T offers plenty of classic heritage and style in a package that will also appeal to riders looking for simple and economical transport. |
